Bookkeeping and Accounting
Your accountant prepares your business income taxes, but
can be an expensive alternative to an in-house bookkeeper or general accountant.
Most accountant's hourly fees start at $150.00 and go up from there, so
the less work your leave for your accountant to do, the more money you save.

Bookkeeping:
Your day-to-day data entry including creating
purchase orders, goods received, entering supplier bills,
invoicing your customers, entering cheques or other payments to your vendors and
receipts from your clients. Entering informational updates such as address
changes, adding new employees, customers or suppliers. Payrolls are also
generated and printed, and Records of Employment are issued as staff leave. We
will also act as liaison between you and your bank, suppliers and clients. We
have 20 years' collection experience.
Monthly Posting:
Monthly bank and other service charges
are posted, and bank, vendor and credit card statements are reconciled to your
books. Periodic adjustments are made for work-in-progress and accrued liabilities
as required. Goods and Services Tax, Provincial Sales Tax, Employer Health Tax,
Workplace Safety and Insurance Board premiums, Employer Source Deductions, group
insurance and union remittances are calculated, posted and remitted. We can
prepare depreciation and amortization schedules for your significant capital
purchases and leases.
Cleanup and Error Correction:
Your balance sheet and income statements are
examined for possible errors and mispostings. We will check for items posted to
incorrect accounts or projects, duplicated items, unknown and uncleared bank, vendor and customer
items.
Year-End:
We will co-ordinate with your Auditor or Tax
Preparer to provide all necessary reports and documentation to perform your
year-end review. We will
also post any correcting and adjusting entries provided by your accountant,
assuring the consistency of the accounting data.
We will also prepare T4's and T4 Summaries for remittance
to the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency, as well as generating T5018 Statements
of Contract Payments and T5018 Summaries as required in the construction
industry.
We will conduct your Employer Health Tax, Workplace Safety
and Insurance Board and GST reconciliations, and prepare your year-end
government remittances.
Other Services:
Our experienced Bookkeeping and Accounting
contractors can install, update, convert and troubleshoot your accounting
software. We can also consult regarding changes in your current application
choice should you require.
We have experience in a number of software
applications and can train your staff on any new packages or updates. We have
used QuickBooks, Simply Accounting, MYOB, Jonas and NewViews extensively.
Testimonials:
"She has been an excellent worker, very good
with detail, accurate, and able to work
independently with very little, if any, supervision.
I would, without hesitation, recommend Ms
Wells for a bookkeeping or junior
accounting position or contract..." Dale Nagy, CMA; DC Nagy

"Ms Wells is an intelligent bookkeeper who is
always striving to increase her knowledge and skills. She is attending Seneca
College to complete her 3-year diploma in accounting and maintains her yearly
